Project Details

A 2019 Jaguar E-Pace came to Euro Auto Tech & Smog with a suspected coolant leak. Our technicians began with a pressure test on the coolant system and quickly found the culprit—a leak in the thermostat housing. We recommended replacing both the coolant reservoir and the thermostat housing, as well as two overflow pipes that typically break during the reservoir replacement.

The customer approved our solution and we immediately ordered the necessary parts. The thermostat was a special order item, requiring an out-of-state shipment, which extended the wait time. On top of that, the first thermostat arrived damaged in transit, so we returned it and expedited a replacement.

Once all parts arrived safely, we completed the repair, replaced the thermostat and reservoir, and topped off the coolant to check the coolant level sensor. Another curveball: the sensor itself was faulty. We quickly replaced it, ensuring everything was in perfect working order.
